Fodina Language Technology AB has received 500,000SEK from The Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems, VINNOVA, as funding for a pre-study. The aim of the pre-study is to investigate the possibilities of developing a tool for author assistance and quality control in international patent applications.

VINNOVA is a State authority that aims to promote growth and prosperity throughout Sweden. Their particular area of responsibility comprises innovations linked to research and development. In 2005, VINNOVA launched the programme Forska&Väx (Research&Grow) that focuses on R&D in SMEs. For 2009 the call has a budget of SEK 120 million SEK. Together with Fodina, 68 other SMEs are funded with a total of 80 million SEK in 2009.
